This pattern is beginner-friendly with support! While the design involves some color changes, I have a FREE 19-page Tapestry Crochet Guide available on my website that includes:

Finished size: approx. 16 × 16 inches (not including tassels or borders) — will vary depending on tension, yarn, and hook.
Materials you'll need:
Worsted weight acrylic or cotton yarn (I used Caron One Pound — Black, Claret, and Medium Gray Mix)
4mm crochet hook (I usually size smaller than my yarn recommends for tighter stitches, but that's optional)
Wooden dowel rod
Scissors
Yarn needle
Steamer or iron with steam function
