This listing is for a digital Quicksand PDF pattern only. No physical item will be shipped.
Welcome Foolish Mortals! Is this crochet piece actually stretching? Or is it just your imagination (or your hands hard at work)? If you have room for one more project on your walls, this one will be happy to haunt your halls.
This pattern is beginner-friendly, but if you need additional support, please download my free 19-page Tapestry Crochet Guide that includes:
How to Crochet for Absolute Beginners (video tutorial)
How to Color Change & Manage the Yarn Chaos (video tutorial)
Step-by-step color blocking instructions
Image chart + row-by-row guide
Photo references and tips throughout
Multiple finishing options included (border, tassels, pillow, wall hanging, etc.)
Finished size: approx. 60×23 inches — will vary depending on tension, yarn, and hook. I am a semi-loose tension stitcher; your project will likely be this size or smaller.
Materials you'll need:
Worsted weight acrylic or cotton yarn (I used Caron One Pound - Black and Off White)
4.5mm crochet hook (i usually size smaller than my yarn recommends to get tighter stitches but that is optional)
Wooden dowel rod
Scissors
Yarn needle (if needed)
Steamer or iron with steam function
You can sell what you make! Small batch sellers are welcome — just don’t resell or share the pattern file. Please credit @crochet.or.cry when posting or listing online.
Thank you SO much for your support — I hope you have the best time making this. Feel free to reach out if you need help along the way!
